What this policy covers
This policy describes what personal information Research Developers collects when you contact us or work with us, why we hold it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website and to our consulting work.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need in order to respond to you and carry out agreed work:
- Contact details you give us: name, email address, telephone number
- Information about your research that you choose to send us, including drafts, data and institutional requirements
- Correspondence between us
- Records relating to agreed scope, invoices and payments
The enquiry form on this website opens your own email application. It does not transmit data to us directly, and no information from that form reaches us unless you send the email.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to enquiries, to carry out work you have engaged us for, to issue invoices, and to keep records we are required to keep. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Research material and confidentiality
Drafts, data and unpublished research you share with us are treated as confidential by default. They are accessible only to the consultants working on your project. We do not reuse your material, publish it, or use it as an example in marketing or teaching without your written permission.
Where an engagement involves sensitive or regulated data, we agree handling, storage and return or deletion arrangements in writing before work begins.
How long we keep information
Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an engagement is deleted within twelve months. Project material is retained for the duration of the engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you need it again, and is deleted on request. Financial records are kept for as long as applicable law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or ask us to stop contacting you. Write to the address below and we will respond.
If material has been incorporated into work already delivered to you, deletion applies to our copies rather than to yours.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Where a standard web font or similar resource is loaded from a third-party provider, that provider may receive your IP address as part of the request, as it would for any website using the same resource.
