Terms of service

What we undertake, and what remains yours.

These terms describe the scope of our services, the boundaries we hold to, and the responsibilities that stay with you as the author of your research.

Last updated: 18 August 2026

What we provide

Research Developers provides research consultation, methodology and analysis support, manuscript development, language editing, formatting, journal-selection support, submission documentation and preparation for vivas and presentations.

All work is carried out under a written scope agreed with you before it begins. That scope sets out deliverables, milestones, the number of revision rounds, timelines and cost, and it takes precedence over any general description on this website.

What we do not provide

We do not:

  • Guarantee publication, acceptance, grades, degree outcomes or examination results
  • Contact journals, editors, reviewers or universities on your behalf
  • Accept, offer or arrange authorship, or arrange citations
  • Produce, alter or supply research data
  • Issue plagiarism, originality or AI-detection certificates
  • Sit examinations, or attend a viva, in your place
  • Undertake work that would breach your institution's academic-integrity policy

Your responsibilities

You are the author of your research and remain responsible for it. In particular, you are responsible for:

  • Knowing and complying with your institution's academic-integrity and research policies, including any requirement to disclose or acknowledge external support
  • The accuracy and integrity of the data you provide
  • Obtaining ethics approvals, consents and permissions required for your research
  • Final decisions on the content of anything submitted in your name
  • Submitting your own work and corresponding with journals and your institution yourself

If you ask us for something that falls outside what your institution permits, we will decline it.

Outcomes are decided by others

Editorial decisions are made by journal editors and peer reviewers. Academic decisions are made by your supervisor, department, examiners and university. Neither we nor any other external party can commit to those outcomes, and nothing we say should be read as doing so.

Where we describe typical timelines, review durations or index listings, we describe what the relevant body has published at the time. These change, and we do not warrant that they will remain accurate.

Fees, revisions and cancellation

Fees are quoted per project on the basis of scope, discipline and timeline, and are confirmed in the written scope before work begins. Work outside that scope is quoted separately and only carried out with your agreement.

The number of revision rounds included is stated in the scope. Additional rounds can be agreed separately.

Either party may end an engagement in writing. Where work has been carried out, fees are payable for the work completed to that point.

Ownership and confidentiality

You retain ownership of your research, your data and the work produced under an engagement. We claim no rights over it and are named nowhere on it.

We treat your material as confidential and do not reuse, publish or share it. We ask the same in return in respect of any templates, checklists or internal material we share with you.

Limits

We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for outcomes decided by third parties, including editorial decisions, examination results or institutional determinations, nor for consequences arising from information you provide that is inaccurate or incomplete.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at the office location under which your engagement was agreed.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force for your engagement is the one in effect when your written scope was agreed. Questions can be sent to info@researchdevelopers.com.
